This picture is my birthday dinner made by people I love and trust. I was surrounded by a handful of those who love me most and when they look at me they see my broken, messy body, experience my forgetful mind, watch my body tremor and my fight to swallow food, they see my bum leg but that doesn’t stop them from loving me and seeing my value. I’m learning to look a little deeper inside of me as well. I see you 45 and I’ll toast you to the Best Year Yet!
Their eyes are the light into their souls. Always watching and learning. Teach them young. Show them your brave. Show them your courage. May they know love through make believe, creating, dancing, singing, snuggling and food! Always the food.
Thank you chickens for your hard work. Thank you farmers for your love and hard work. Thank you food for the work you do inside of our bodies. #gratitude
